Wing and Rib Challenge

My son recently went to the 17th Street Bar and Grill in Murphysborro, IL and loved their chicken wing appetizer and their ribs. He challenged me to duplicate their wings over Memorial day and their ribs later this summer. Unfortunately, I have not eaten there myself. If anyone has eaten there, I would appreciate any suggestions that you might have.

I've eaten at the 17th Street B&G in Marion, IL several times. I've not eaten the wings but you should be able to beat the ribs easily on the BGE with about any of the recipes here on the forum. To me they taste like they have done some sort of 'precook', boiled or something and then just grilled and sauced. They may not precook but sure tasted like it. I've eaten lots of better ribs. I don't care much for their pulled pork either. Last time I was there I got a ribeye. :laugh: Mike

Another option is to focus on and cook him the best wings and ribs you possibly can, so he forgets about "17th Street".
