Low country boil

Doing a low country boil tonight for my daughter and some of her friends so no Egging tonight. Picked up 3 lbs of head on shrimp, should be good. -RP

I’ve never had opportunity to take in a real boil, but I have taken the tradition “Boil” idea to a “Soup” mode and it’s a hit in Northern MN...At least here at my place.

Very nice Randy. Hard to beat boiled seafood. Spread out some newspaper, dump it in the middle of the table, roll up your sleeves, take off your watch, and dig in.

I will be getting a 20# sack of crawfish this week (or maybe next) from a buddy in Louisiana.

I like to make sure I have some leftovers for fritatas and other stuff. Everything that was used in the boil plus a few other things goes in the fritata.

Maybe try crawfish fajitas, nachos, or enchiladas this time.

I'm sure it turned out well RP. I haven't done a large boil in several years now. Sometimes we so caught up in Egging(which is great) we forget about the other outdoor cooking fun. I may break out the burner and do a big batch of boiled peanuts soon.
