Boston scientific temp probe

Does anyone have any experience with a boston scientific temp probe? My wife bought me one, it is wireless so I can monitor temp from inside. I just wanted to know if they are any good, or does anyone have resaon for me to buy something different? Thanks.

    I had an OREGON Scientific wireless and it was great. It was 3 years ago. It worked well until the probe sat on the grill during a cook and was toast. Unfortunately, I threw it away before I discovered I could purchase a new probe for about $12.
