The skillet in the photo I posted has a hair-line crack so I just keep it around for laughs. To restore one in that state, it would be best to sand-blast it, followed by a "seasoning" or two. Many auto body shops have sand-blasting equipment and would probably do it for a nominal fee. For instructions on seasoning, visit the "Lodge" website. Good luck!
