I want to thank the folks on the forum who helped me pull off catering the pulled pork for a graduation party last weekend. I fed about 100 people and got lots of rave reviews. It was a good time, and I appreciate the advice I got here that helped to make it happen.
Here's the full story with more pics: Pulled Pork – Hot & Fast Butts.
Thanks again,
Dave

Wow! Congratulations! What a feat!

Good to hear all went well.
Yesterday I smoked two butts one for us and one for our next door neighbor. It was a great feeling when the brought back the towels from the cooler and told us it was so delicious. Tim -
Dave,
Nice job and the pork looks deelicious. I know you worked your "butt" off..
:pinch: :silly:
Glad it all came out great. -
Great job, Dave.
I've done one catering-type deal for two separate 50-person groups (back to back days) and though it is a TON of work, the praises make it worth it ! :woohoo: -
Question, Dave: next time you cook just one butt, will you choose low-n-slow or the quickie?
-
It really depends on how much time I have. If I've got the whole weekend, I don't think I can beat Pulled Pork a la Alton done low & slow.Food & Fire - The carnivorous ramblings of a gluten-free grill geek.

Great job - thanks for sharing. I did PP for a church lunch, and to this day, folks ask me to do it again.
Next time I am using ClayQ's pork tenderloin method. -
Wow! Thanks for the post and especially for the detailed 'Hot & Fast Butts' link with all the pics and product links.
As more and more people get to experience food cooked on the BGE, I think most owners will eventually be asked to cook for a crowd larger than normal. So, providing the ingredients and though pattern behind the planning will be of great help!
