Avocado/Mango/Tomato Tart

<p />I got this out of an Italian bread cookbook. It looks nice, but I didn't think much of the outcome. I just didn't like sweet mango in a savory tart and I couldn't taste the avocado. Oh well, on the next experiment....

    James,[p]I've tasted cooked avocados before. They really aren't something I care for, though they sorta taste like butter without being cooked so it seems logical they'd taste buttery when cooked. Nope, just tastes off, IMO.[p]Mango is what seems way out of place in this recipe. The avocado and tomato are more veggie-type flavors while mango is fruity. Odd.

    Yeah, but I'll try anything once. Did I ever tell you about sucking langostino heads? Never mind....[p]The tart was ok, but the fruitiness of the mango was just out of place in a savory tart. I couldn't taste the avocado, so that was a waste of whatever they cost.[p]TNW

    Lots of kinds! I do like turkey white meat chunks with a nice cheese like swiss or gruyere. I love bacon and cheese in a quiche. Don't know of one I've ever had that I didn't like!
