I know some of the members do some catering, so I thought I would seek their (or anyone else's for that matter) opinion. I'm making Pulled Pork for my son's graduation party in two weeks. We are expecting 75 guests or so. What is the formula to determine how much will be needed? Thanks in advance.

Roughly 2.4 servings per pound of raw. If your son is graduating high school or University I would allow two servings for him and his friends.

Thanks for the advice. Too much to ask for your advice for beans and slaw as well? Not as important as the pork, but would rather not be short either.

    Cruezn,

I had just read that on the Naked Whiz page. Didn't do the arithmetic cause it hurts too much. I knw Celtic Wolf had a formula on his site. Celtic Spirit Barbeque. I seem to remember him saying 1/4 to 1/3 of a pound per serving and a 60% yield on raw vs finished product. I am so much not the person to ask on beans as I have never made a successful batch.

You want at least 34 pounds of pork raw.

3/4 cup per serving for beans ,potato salad or macaroni salad, 1/2 cup per serving for slaw.
