Hello,
I am about to finish my Egg table and was curious to know how some of you have managed to lower your eggs in place? I have a large egg and have found it difficult enough just lifting it  Any suggestions?

take out all of the insides...firebox and ring, grate.
open the vent all the way this will enable you to put a hand on the botton and with the help of another person or two you should manage make the maneuver. As you lower the egg in remove your hand from the vent and have the 3rd person position from the bottom for support. worked for me -
As Jack said, but you may just as well loosen the lower band and remove the dome. It's only one bolt and lightens the load a bunch.
