Peaches really aren't in season, so I used HEB Frozen peaches. Man, they were surprisingly nice! Two 16 oz. bags of peaches, 3/4 cup sugar, and a dash of almond extract to prep the peaches.
Batter was very simple... 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour, 3/4 cup milk, 2 tsp. baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix all together.
Melt 1/4 cup butter in heated dutch oven and add peaches spreading evenly. Pour batter over peaches and bake in Egg at 350 for 45 min. to 1 hour.
Almost too easy, and really tasty. Didn't last long, either.
Happy Monday.

Mike, that looks like it would make a great breakfast.

Mike, this is a very standard cook on a dutch oven site I frequented before coming here to the forum. I was just writing to a friend about using cast iron on an Egg. This looks like I found my first cast iron cook. This cook is very convincing.

I've been looking for my first DO recipe on the egg. This one looks great. Are u cooking direct or indirect, raised or lowered grate?
