yes. excellent idea. next time zippy, soak the structure with diesel fuel. what could possibly happen?

Use your Shop-Vac or rig a hose from exhaust pipe of your car. Or tape a jar over the hole for when he exits. But if you don't want to spray stuff all over your wood, stick the flexible tube from a can of silicone spray in the hole while he's in there and his buzzing will get loud real fast then stop.

We also plug the holes after application with dowel rod pieces. This method has really helped us get a handle on what was a serious reoccurring problem.

...and btw...up here in MI. (or at least in these parts) you had better get lucky and spray these guys when they land in the hole. They'll spit out even several decent close quarter shots and keep flying! :ohmy:
Their flight patterns and speed are certainly one of nature's wonders; not to mention their ability to create often extremely long tunnels.
