OT Photobucket, Is going Pro Worth It??

I have had trouble with Photobucket from day one. I am considerably better than when I first started, but I still run into problems. Lately I will try and post 3 or 4 pics, 1 or 2 will go through even though they are all on the preview, which is another thing. I read some time back that you could change the IMG code to small case and your actual pic would appear in the preview, not just the text mumbo-jumbo. I have tried numerous time to make that change to no avail.
Getting rid of the ads on the "standard" account would no doubt be helpful, but is it worth $25/yr?? Are there any other benefits?? :(
Thanks for your help and advice,

Try Flickr... 100 MB photo limit plus 2 videos per month with the free account.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Definitely not worth it. I would use Flickr, Picasa, or TinyPic. Don't pay for what you can get for free from much better providers.

I've raised that same question here and the consensus has been no. I was with you in that $25 a year to get rid of those annoying ads seemed worth the "buy off", but I still haven't tripped the trigger as it seems they have gotten better.

    Ron,

I've been paying for it for two years and realised I was using the free account. Pro is a whole lot faster and you can actually use the bulk uploader sometimes.

Thanks to all for your input. I am an old geezer with a few skills garnered over a lifetime. but real computer savvy is not one of them. Will Rodgers once said "All of us are ignorant, only on different subjects," this applys. I will explore some of these other sites. I had a gut feeling that the "Pro" package was not worth it, thanks for the conformation B)

I can't speak for the other sites but I was unable to get Picasa to work for this site.

Snapfish works and is free with unlimited storage. The image size is reduced automatically when you upload to like 800x600, but it's OK. You only need to make a single photo purchase per year to keep the account active.
