I just received a mini green egg as a gift. The minis are really small and i'm not sure what i can cook in it! any suggestions, or should I try to find a dealer and trade in for a larger size? thanks!

Neil Clark,[p]The Mini is small and trading up is a great option! I love my mini and don't think I would ever get rid of it. The mini gets a good bit of use but, I also own a large (it is also used alot) and I am thinking of getting yet another egg![p]Smokey
  • Smokey, I keep my mini in the car loaded with lump and an envelope of that green gel from Walmart. That plus a nifty collapsible table and chairs. Instant picnic! Just add food (and wine/beer).

Neil Clark, this weekend we demo cooked with a mini (and a medium and a large). We cooked 6 bratwurst at one time and followed up with three cooks of chicken wings (15 or so each time). At home I cook burgers (3 can squeeze 4), pork chops (three fit well) pork tenderloin (turn it in a horseshoe shape), half a pork loin, a turkey breast, three chicken breasts, ten hot dogs (just to see how many I could do) and two pieces of salmon. Best of all, put it in a milk crate and it's easily transported. Keep it and then start thinking about a large as well.
