Planning on cooking 2 beer butt chickens at 325 degrees for about an hour. Should I use the placesetter for indirect heat or direct heat. Thanks for the input

I put the chicken on the sitter, then in a drip pan that is directly on the grid. I don't use ceramic on beer butt. Hope this helps. tstick
