2 6lbs Pork Shoulders = 1 12lbs shoulder in Cooking Time?
I have two pork shoulders weighing in at about 6 lbs apiece. I am plan on cooking them at the same time using the recipe on the Naked Whiz's website. As for cooking time, should I base it on the fact the each shoulder is 6lbs - therefore about 12 hours (at 2 hours a pound)? Or, should I plan for it to take as long as a 12 lbs - therefore about 24 hours (at 2 hours a pound)?
Thanks for the help. Got the full family in town this weekend and want to show them what the Egg can do!

Double Deuce,
6 Lbs. 12 hours

Double Deuce,
As long as the two pieces of meat are separate, it's like cooking one piece of meat. If you tie them together with a bunch of string, then you got one 12 pound piece of meat and it would take longer. [p]TNW
The Naked Whiz -
Double Deuce,[p]I cooked two 5 lb'ers (boneless) last weekend and it took 18.5 hours at 225 the whole... to internal temp of 200. Just in case plan for a longer cook and keep em in a cooler untill dinner time![p]Brian
