Last night you were whining, I mean you "mentioned" your problem about becoming the designated cook.[p]It could get worse....or progress...[p]I got a call from my lovely wife at about 6:30 PM that we had guests/clients coming over at about 9 PM and "finger food" would be good. It kind of blew my plans for pizza out the window.[p]So, I started EZ with stuff on hand and made fresh salsa, then I went to the grocery store and picked up some avocados and about $40 worth of miscellaneous stuff. Made guac with the salsa, did the sliced/rolled up pickles with corned beef and cream cheese, had some leftover sliced ABT's, Sliced up some fresh parmessan cheese and smoked cheddar, grilled (on the BGE) some Italian sausages that I sliced up into bite size pieces, and then did about 5 pounds of chicken wings on the BGE (done with garlic/oregano/butter/ and lemon juice) [p]It's midnight and they are still doing business. I've cleaned up the kitchen, and the treats are still available...tasty too![p]Her night started at 7:00 PM when she took a woman out for a drive through a couple of local areas. The request was to show this first client areas and houses within about 7 miles of her new work location. Take her out for 1 hour, no more than 2 hours. The payment to my wife (from the relocation company)...$300 for her troubles.[p]Her next client met at our house (the 9 PM group) They are writing a purchase agreement on a house with acreage....with that 9 stall garage that the guys would all like. (Big doors, lots of concrete, insulated, sheetrocked, heated) So, she will be done by 1 AM, and then she just informed me that a backrub would be nice......[p]I said "No way! Until I get the kitchen cleaned and everything put away." ;>[p]Mike in MN

Mike in MN,
Yeah, I think it has already happened to me... but at least I have an egg. I don't want to sound unappreciative about my wife, because she does keep our house pretty much spotless, and my clothes clean while working and going to school, but when you are hungry, sometimes you just can't help but get a little ornery. Needless to say, I brought home flowers yesterday right before I started dinner.[p]Once again thanks for all of the advice.[p]-smokeydrew
