Have large nests changed over the past 6 years

I recently purchased a used large egg. I just purchased a (current) nest for a large egg, but it doesn't seem to fit quite right. Have the large eggs changed in any way over the past six years that would make my egg not fit quite right in the current nest?

When you visually inspect it, it appears to be a perfect fit. But when you open the top, the egg shifts backwards in the nest. The weight of the top makes it shift backwards 10-15 degrees.

Thoughts?

Are the bolts in the nest not really tight?

Maybe try it in a different orientation in the nest (ie twist it 90 degrees).

yes the nest has changed, but not that much. Sounds like the bolts aren't tight enough or one of the uprights in the nest is best..

the last two large nests that I have assembled have been "tight" the uprights needed to be spread out about a quarter inch to allow the base of the egg to sit all the way on the bottom . Hope this helps

Yes they have. Not long a go I got a new style nest and handler for my older large egg. Here is what I did.

I can tell you I can tilt my egg back on two wheels and go just about anywhere and my egg don't tilt in the nest.

Totally agree. If it is seated all the way to the bottom. Not sure how it would shift or move. :S
