Pork picnic roast

I have a 5 pound pork picnic roast. Any ideas ?

2 or 2 1/2 hours per pound at 220 degrees?

1.5 -2 hrs/lb.Cook to temp not time.195 Internal Temp.

Ideas??...Hell YES!
Put it on indiret very low and slow (250 F. if you can maintain it) and cook to an internal of 190 - 200 F.
At this point you have "pulled pork" falling apart tender. Serve it with your favorit sauce along side, or mixed, on a good hardy bum!

If you want to be fancy you can get the best of both worlds of pulled pork and a roast.
Cook the roast as you would pulled pork (as described above). Then once it is done, you remove the 'pulled pork' and throw it in the fridge overnight (do not pull it!).
Then the next day, while cold, you slice it into nice looking steaks and reheat in the oven (or egg) and serve.
You get pulled pork tenderness without it looking like a big mess of shredded meat.
Of course, I only do this when presentation is important. I'm putting a shoulder blade roast, rubbed with dizzy pig and plan to cook it for about 15 hours and pull it tomorrow. Good stuff - and super cheap!
