Hello,
I was trying to make sausage with my KA and didn't have much sucess. What happenns is when I'm trying to get in the casing the casing gets like big air pockets.Anyone have any tips?Beside getting a regular sausage stuffer.

you need to prick the air pocket with a pin to let the air out and while you can stuff it yourself, having two people to load the machine and stuff the sausuage is far easierfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Thanks. I will try that.If it goes bad again I think I may have to purchase a vertical 5 lb stuffer.I really like using boneless chicken thighs for sausage it was real tasty and seems healthier than some of the store bought pork sausage.

you have to put a little resistance( hold back on the casing... (a blow out is better than a skinny sausage). on the sausage as it fills.... it takes a bit of practice... after a couple of batches ....you'll get the hang of it.... i used to use a a little oster homeowner model for many years ...until.. i made the move to top of the line stuff from cabela's....it works just as good..... but with the KA /etc... it;s just alot slower...btw.... a 5 pound vert is too small once you get the hang of it. you'll wish you'd have gone bigger....( i been doing it for 35 years).....i have a 1 hp grinder... 30 pound mixer and and a 30 pound stuffer and a commercial patty maker.... it takes me more time to clean the equipment than it does to make the sausage....with the little home owner equipment i realize it a is big cost but if you watch cabela's"bagain cave".... you can save 75 percent off of retail...( you have to be patient and vigilant!) .... i
