$57 an hour as a census taker?

Our retired neighbors just finished a 4 day class on how to become census takers making $57 per household. They were instructed that's the pay whether it only takes 5 minutes or the max of 60 minutes. I guess I just don't get the hang up people have completing the form on their own - kinda like if they are that stupid who wants them in the gene pool or at the public troff anyway! :evil:
