Small egg for slow cooking

Is the small egg big enough to slow cook and smoke a brisket (a small brisket ... maybe 2-3 pounds)? I figure there might be a problem keeping the dome temperature low enough to slow cook but the fire temperature high enough to make the wood smoke. Please let me know. Thanks!

Bob,[p]Small will do just fine. You need to rig a barrier, like the plate setter is for the large, but that's all. I'm used to seeing my dome temp around 225 to 230.[p]Ken

Bob,
yes you can but use a drip pan to catch drippings, I find I get more flare ups on the small because of the meat being closer to the coals than the large, drip pan will serve as a barrier like Blue Smoke mentioned.
