I won some wood planks at Texfest and was curious which fish benefit from cooking on these. So far all I've done is admire them because they look so professional! (Little things make me happy these days).[p]mSharque

    MollyShark,

salmon is fantastic on cedar plank. ... simply soak the plank in water for about 3 hours (put it in a sink or tub with something heavy on top of it to hold it submerged). ..take the salmon, rub it with a little olive oil and your favorite dizzy rub (we like raging river but spawn likes tsunami spin), or ken stones gilded splinters. . .get the egg set around 400 degrees. . put the plank on the grid and wait about 5 minutes or so until you hear it 'crackling' a little, then put the fish on for about 13 minutes. .. squirt a little lemon juice on about halfway through the cook. . .most excellent. . .
