What do you use to clean off the "smoke sweat trail" on the outside of the Egg lid? Any cleaners or non - abrasive pads?

Simple Green works - also Rutland makes a glass cleaner that is non-abrasive to cut the creosote off fireplace door windows that works quite well. One bottle has lasted me 10 years now!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I sprayed on a little oven cleaner and it took it right off with no damage to the ceramic.
Spring "Oven Cleaner A Little Dab Will Do Ya" Chicken -
My approach to similar problems:
1. Alcohol
2. Lacquer Thinner
3. Acetone
4. Dynamite
