Can anyone give me advice on how to get my Egg up to about 700 degrees. I live in Denver and just got it last week and have not been able to get it above 550 with both vents completely open. Excited to try making pizza in it but wanted a really hot oven. [p]Thanks
Neil

    Neil Flock,
use a small house fan pointed towards the lower vent.
be careful this can produce a very hot fire and burn uncontroled if left unattended.[p]

    Neil Flock,
How much lump are you using? You should be using a full firebowl. Also, is the hole in the side of the firebowl lined up with the bottom vent? Is the lump you are using of sufficient size to allow adequate airflow through the fire? [p]TNW

    Neil Flock,
I'm in Denver, too, with no problems getting to 700. Naked Whiz asked the good questions. The only other thing I can think of is - is your thermometer calibrated?[p]Ken

Hey, Ken, I'm gonna be out in Colorado Springs Aug. 13-15 visiting my fiancee. Shoot me an e-mail and maybe we can get together for lunch or something.[p]Frosty Ones!
