Caputo 00 flour in Saint Louis.

After reading several threads here and off the site regarding Neapolitan pizza I started searching for Caputo 00 flour. This stuff is hard to find to say the least. I ended up calling the importer, Orlando Foods in NJ who gave me distributor here in STL. Went and picked up a 50+ pound bag yesterday. I don't think I'm going to use all this so if anyone locally is interested in splitting the bag shoot me an email.

I bought a 50 lb bag last year and knowing it would take a long time to use it I filled gallon sized ziplocks at 5 lb each and kept them in the freezer. Down to my last one now. -RP

Nice, I have a whole bunch of locking containers I am going to use. I may need to freeze a few of them as I anticipate it taking a year to use this stuff!

There's getting to a few eggheads in the STL area. We need to get a dealer to put on an Eggfest. I think it would be nice to meet some of the local eggheads.

Yea, we need an eggfest in STL. Isn't there several in MO? It's strange none of them are here!
-
The only official Eggfest I know of in Missouri is in Springfield, late September. There is a comp put on that same weekend in STL, but it's not an Eggfest.
Who carries that flour in STL? -
You can get it at Di Gregorio's Italian Foods on the Hill. The have a store but you need to go to the warehouse which is a couple blocks down the street. Just give them a call for directions.

I checked the banners and there are 2 other eggfests in MO. One in Branson and another near KC in Liberty. But none in STL :(

Well smack my mouth, I didn't know that about the other fests. Yeah, we need one here. LeLu is pretty low-key for putting something like that together, but one of the other vendors might do it.
Thanks on the heads-up on the caputo flour source. -
Come on down to Branson for our eggfest! It will be a great way to meet fellow eggers.
I have talked to a dealer in Arnold about having an Eggfest.... hopefully soon.
In the meantime come to Branson! a great time for everyone... -
I invite you to our Branson Eggfest which is put on by the same dealer as the Springfield Eggfest. Outdoor Home Store.. they are going to bring a great time for all eggers...Check it out at http://www.visitmonow.com/Green_Eggs_and_Jam_p/fdbr001001.htm
It's going to be a fun time for everyone! -
what would you think of an Eggfest at the Riverport Ampitheater parking lot - maybe a Big Green Egg Tailgate party Eggfest in the fall?
