Fired up the Egg this morning in anticipation of making up some Bruschett for the cast of "Grease" as they come through on the way to the final strike and cast party!
Threw on the # 9 C.I. for a mix of shredded potatoes, onion, garlic, assorted peppers and mushrooms to accompany a slab of the "Santa Maria" roast beef....Last of the left overs!

More to follow, as the day progresses....I hope!
Now that the Egg is fired, one just never knows what may happen!

I take it you leave the EGG going all day to cook other things during the day. Interesting. I haven't done breakfast on the EGG.

    Good food for thought.

    Thank you.

  • I have been known to burn some lump for the day  !
Breakfast can be a lot of fun! Check out the pics from the Frozen Fest (I think we took some, but now I'm not sure.....)
No Matter...Breakfast with an Egg can be a lot of fun.
Just a while back I did a "grits bake", with inspiration from the owner of Trail Center Lodge up on the Gunflint Trail running North from Grand Marais up to between Saganaga and Sea Gull Lakes in the BWCA. That cook turned out totally supper duper! Not to take anything away from today's cook, as it was pretty darn "S-D" too!
BTW, Molly...You are welcome anytime!! Would love to share the North-Woods of MN with you!
  • Sorry guys...
I did a few waves of toasts (just one stone load at a time) through the afternoon, but didn’t take a single picture!!
Then...At about 1500 we had a brush fire just across the road, maybe 200 (300 at best) yds. from our property!!! Fire is a REALLY big fear living in the woods and this year’s fire danger is worse than I have ever seen with it being so dry!
To say the least the big fire put the small fire (the one in the Egg) on hold for another day later this week!
