This evening we deceided to have a Spatchcock Chicken for dinner.
We used the Naked Whiz's idea in putting fire brick on the main
grille and another grille over the brick. We thought there is some wasted space below the top rack and the bottom one. We had some ribs
in the fridge, so on the bottom rack we put a drip pan, then the
rib rack. On the rib rack went the ribs. We did this for an hour at
325 and the chicken was done. It took another 30 minutes for the ribs.
The chicken was juicy perfect. The ribs will be eaten tomprrow eve.
But a sneak bite proved them to be perfect also. We did keep water in the drip pan to keep them both moist. This has probably been done by some of you long time EGGERS, but we short timers are learning and trying!!!
