Well, my bride is out of town for a few days, so I decided to make me a meal that I wanted, and to heck with everybody else.

I opted for a flat iron steak, drizzled with balsamic glaze, blue corn - jalapeño hush puppies, and spinach soufflet.

I thought I'd dine in the atrium.

By the way, hush puppies get their name from the War Between the States ( I was 14 before I heard it called other than The War of Northern Aggression). When Yankee troops came close to a Confederate campsite, the Rebs would throw balls of cornbread to their dogs to "hush the puppies". That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
