Finally: A real MAN'S meal !!

Well, my bride is out of town for a few days, so I decided to make me a meal that I wanted, and to heck with everybody else.

I opted for a flat iron steak, drizzled with balsamic glaze, blue corn - jalapeño hush puppies, and spinach soufflet.

I thought I'd dine in the atrium.

By the way, hush puppies get their name from the War Between the States ( I was 14 before I heard it called other than The War of Northern Aggression). When Yankee troops came close to a Confederate campsite, the Rebs would throw balls of cornbread to their dogs to "hush the puppies". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My question posted before your last post. I didn't understand what the "steer" comment meant, or "he gets the benefit". I know I'm dense, but calling somebody a steer in these parts ain't too complimentary.
