New Gasket

15 year old egg!
Did a 1000 deg. burn for 3 hours to clean it out.
Of course the gasket melted, but the egg came clean.
Installed the new nomex gasket with 3m 77.

Used the left over to seal the damper top.

Dan, 1000 degree burn for 3 hrs.!!!!!!! Holy cow, that seems a little extreme but if anyone knows how to do a clean burn you would.
Just curious why you would want to seal the damper?
Wanted to let you know my nephew Chris loves his new egg he bought from you at the Sunshine Fest. He said you were great to deal with.

Seal the damper and the fire goes out much faster saving coal.
