Money is tight.. I really get that.. Here is a fact. If I were to cater the events I am catering at full catering cost the next three events would cost the military right close to $20,000 US. This is money that is earmarked for family support and troop moral. I charge them nothing, so that 20,000 could be used for the families of our troops.

However, I still need to pay for the food and supplies. I need to raise $2,000 before April 29th. I have $50.00 Please help be get these events funded or I will have to cancel. $10.00 from each of you would not only fund the three events I have in the next 6 weeks but a couple more. Is your freedom worth $10.00, $20.00. Our Military cost for freedom is their lives. I saw you posted on Facebook that American Spirit is now a non-profit and that contributions are tax deductible. Is this accurate?

If so, anyone that donates time to help can write off all their time, mileage, and expenses as a charitable donation -- in addition to being able to claim cash contributions as well.

I know this will change the minds of a lot of people if you were able to provide receipts for donations.

You are correct on both counts. Thank you for that reminder..

If you wish to donate items like plates, forks, napkins, condiments (salt, pepper), lump charcoal or paper towels you are welcome to do so. Please ship them, along with a copy of your purchase receipts so we can keep our donation records straight, to the donation address.

In the case of the charcoal please contact me directly and I will tell you how to make your donation easy.

Just remember we do feed hundreds at a time, so we normally need larger quantities of these items

While food items are welcome, we prefer to have them donated local for safety reasons.

    Thanks,
    Pete.

I just put 40# of thawed pork butt in a box and sent it parcel post. They said you should receive it in 10-14 days. I left it in the cryovac so it shouldn't leak.
