La Bomba Oysters and Surf and Turf

I had a dinner party last night with the whole dinner cooked on the eggs.
First the chargrilled oysters, here is the prep, garlic butter, some with buckboard bacon, some with asparagus, some with La Bomba, parmesan and romano cheese:
Here are the LA BOMBA oysters, mmmmmm goood:
Pretty sunset:
I made a fattie, the same one Reelgem made at Eggtoberfest. I also made some ABT's along with the grilled pickles:
Main course - crabmeat stuffed tilapia, sprinkled with DP tsunami spin
Bacon wrapped filets:
Roasted brussel sprouts, potatoes au gratin (pioneeer woman recipe), and grilled asparagus- no pic of those
I guess they liked everything!
Rum cake for dessert!
The food was awesome and best of all, no mess in the kitchen!

You must have prepped and cooked all weekend. I am sure your guests enjoyed everything. I grilled Tilapia last night also but it did not look like yours :blink: Not picture worthy...

What a great meal Faith!! You really go over the top. The Bomba Oysters look delicious and the crab stuffed tilapia looks wonderful. Beautiful setting and love all your pics!!

Susan, there wasn't really that much prep, it only took me the afternoon. I had a volunteer shuck oysters. Most of the work was dragging half my kitchen outside and down a flight of steps!

Mark, you are so wrong. You are the inspiration that made me try the buckboard bacon. If I hadn't tasted yours, I never would have made it, and now I've made 48 lbs. of it! Thanks.

Hi Molly, thanks. It was a fun evening, the weather was perfect, good friends, WINE, and good food. Everyone took home leftovers. It is fun having access to fresh oysters, they were from Apalachiacola, FL - in the panhandle.
