Newbie, with a Pizza question

I see so many things I want to try oout on my XL Egg I can't beleive it.
Wife still thinks it is a little weird, but since I do most of the cooking, I do it the way I want.
The Pizza's that I see on here are fantastic looking, however I am going to have to let the family walk before they run accepting homemade Pizza.
My questions are:
Do pizza's really taste better in the Egg than in the oven?
If I use a store bought Frozen, any hints on making it turn out great,(besides follow directions on box)?
Is making your own dough worth it? or just use the pillsbury in the tube?
has anyone used the Little Ceasars pizza kits?
thank you for your help.

1. Absolutely better
2. Frozen pies -- cook them about 50° hotter than the directions state. Right on the pizza stone.
3. Make your own. The payback is worth the effort.
Never tried the Little Caesar's stuff myself. -
Fidel is right on all counts....however making your own dough isn't necessary absolutely to have good pizza. the Pillsbury dough works great every time and is fast and no mess, I quit making dough personally because the pillsbury was just fine for our tastes. You can see a ton of pillsbury dough pizzas on my blog.Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

Making your own is worth it. Pizza in the egg is way better than in the oven. Write an email with your email and I will get back to you. I need the style of pizza you are trying to create (like thin crispy or thin soft crust and so on.). Let me know what you like and I will give you all the tips you need to know about having it come out right, even with bought dough. I would prefer you buy your dough from a local bakery thou.

stevesails,
I have never admitted this before but I buy rising crust pizzas when they are on sale. When the boys come home I will cook 5 or 6 in an evening. They think it's home made. Then they drink all my beer.

Why would you buy dough from a bakery instead of making your own? Just curious why you have that opinion.
Maybe we need to have a good old fashioned pizza throwdown one day -
Rod,
This guy makes the best pizza I have ever had. Come to Nieggara and see his rig.

I'll take your thin crust recipe!

Not denying that at all Steve. Just curious why he would buy dough instead of making it.
Throwdowns are just fun. -
Rod,
We have thousands of Italian bakeries here. They all make dough for their hot table pies. Way better than what you would get in a supermarket.

For some people it is a difficult task to make there own dough. If they use a local bakery it is better than frozen store bought dough. Just read his post, then read what I wrote. I am trying to coach what he can manage doing for now. In the end when he gets good at handling himself with baking and topping he will probably try making a batch of dough. I will coach him through any way with helpful tips.

Thanks Steve, your solid bud, and you are the real deal yourself. I may even do a live demo at the fest, I will be talking to Tim and Nick about that next meeting. Are you going to the Toronto fest? I may show up and support, not sure what I will be able to do, with work and all.

I make everything from scratch myself. I help whoever on here with what they can handle.
