Talking with others Northern Industrial has pretty good equipment. This is more of a home grinder. Looking at the specs all internal parts are metal, which is good. It would be nice to know if the drive on the motor side is metal rather than plastic.

Here are some others grinders you may want to look at.
Electric Meat Grinder

This one looked pretty good but the dive gear was plastic "Heavy Duty"

This is Cablea's Pro Grinder it has a 450w motor and metal drive connection on the motor.

Cabella's grinders are private labeled as I would expect Northern Industrial is, that is, unless NI is the company making them for others.

When I was looking I didn't see one from Northern.

It seems the low end commercial grade grinders are in the $400 to $1200.

A lot of folks here use the grinder accessory on their Kitchen Aid's.

NI also has a nice meat stuffer and Grizzly has the same model. Before buying a grinder you may want to look to see if Grizzly offers something.
