    Minnesota Egger,
take a deep breath and blow or use a can of air that keeps the keyboards clean.

Minnesota Egger, I use a shop vac w/no attachment on the hose, and thread it back. Works well.

    Minnesota Egger,
Unless it has built up to where it is blocking the holes in the firebox, there`s no great need to clean it out...and it acts as kind of an insulator also...just my opinion....If I feel the need to clean that thoroughly I will usually remove the inner parts and clean it that way..HTH[p]Wess

    <p />Minnesota Egger,
I use a Flexible Twin Head Brush that is made to clean fishtanks. It wraps around the base perfectly. Just make sure you get one that is long enough.

Minnesota Egger, my fire box severely cracked at least 20 bags ago. i think that the ash in the back is holding it together. i havent cleaned back there since it cracked into 6 or 7 fairly loose pieces and that was atleast 20 bags ago. doesnt seem to effect anything.
