Turning your BGE into a tandoori. Anyone done it?

I know this subject has some up before about turning your BGE into a tandori oven by hanging skewers of meat down near the coals. To where the bottom gets burnt while the top is raw. Has anyone tried using the lump reducing ring and them putting the skewers deep into the BGE where the coals cover all the sides of the chicken? You would hang the meet down into the egg where all the chicken is next to the side of the lump reducing ring.
You could even pour the coals around the lump reducing ring and leave the ring empty and put the skewers in there.
Thoughts?

Wow what a great set up. You might want to patent that and sell it. Put me down for one.

Thanks for the comment, but the costs were WAY out of the budget. No eggstras coming in the future.
