I bought a second egg - another large. Not for the house, but for the lake. :woohoo:
I'm going to take my "yearling" (my first egg is a year old now) up to the lake and set up the new one at the house.
I'm thinking of christening the new guy with some ABT's (which I've not made yet) - is it direct or indirect for these lil puppies? :ermm:

Congrats. on the second Egg, enjoy.
I do my ABT's indirect so I can use a drip pan, about 350 or so.
I have read about people who do theirs direct on a raised grid but I think they go around 375 to 400.
Direct I would worry about bacon fat somke and maybe a grease fire but that's just me.
Cheers,

Hey Tim, that's great news! I'm still waiting for my twin to arrive. Maybe next week.
On those ABTs, go indirect with drip pan and foil bib to catch all the bacon fat. They'll take 45 to 1 hour at 350-375. You are in for a real treat my friend. -
I will be getting a second large this weekend. It's going to be a great weekend. I will be getting my second large then going kayaking on the nantahala river for two days.
