Cooked my DigiQ Probe?

Just plugged in my DigiQII and the pit probe has 3 dashes ---. I can set it to 350 but it just displays the dashes....have I cooked it? Help please, TIA

I have seen this type of problem posted on here before and the answer was to call the manufacture and they can help you. They also said the manufacture had great customer service. Hope you resolve your problem quickly!

Man, I just learned something! I have been wrapping my wires with foil and NW says to not do that as it heats up the probes! Wow, thanks for showing me this link, I will just lay foil down between the probes and the heat source now.
