What size Pizza Stone should I use?
Eggsperts, [p]I recently purchased a medium egg, which I love. For Father's day my wife purchased a 12" pizza stone for me, which we are planning to put to use tonight (size for medium egg). The question I have is whether I can use the 14" pizza stone size which is associated with the large (however, the dimensions do not appear to be a problem as my grid size is 15", plus if I use the y pattern brick on top, the diameter is even wider with the added height). Before I put the 12" to use, I wanted to find out if the 14" would be the better way to go.[p]Thanks much

NW BBQ'r,
I don't have a medium, but I use a 16" inch stone on my large Egg. That leaves a little over an inch on all sides and I have no trouble getting the temperature to 550 or higher.[p]TNW

The Naked Whiz,[p]Thanks, makes sense. That would suggest a 14" should work for me. Do you use these ceramic bricks per the posted receipes to raise the height or can I just place directly on grill?

NW BBQ'r,
I use a plate setter and then I put the pizza stone on the plate setter. If you haven't seen one, there are photos in my FAQ:[p]TNW
