paulH,[p]I think you chose a great picture to use for your test. That is one beautiful bird!! If it tasted half as good as it looked it must have been great.[p]Keep em Smokin'

paulH,
testing your pictures or my hunger?

paulH,
The photo is great!! You need to downsize it just a bit. 800x600 is usually plenty big. It is best, in my opinion, if the entire photo fits on the screen so you don't have to scroll to see all of it. So what's the next photo gonna be!!!???[p]TNW

paulH,
Come on....That's gotta be one of those plastic ones that they use in commercials. Absolutely beautiful! You should be proud of that bird. I hope you didn't eat it, but had it sealed under glass sort of like a wall-mount 20 pound bass. [p]Keep up the good work.[p]Mike

The Naked Whiz,[p]Thanks, I will upload these at 800x600 in the future. I have my video setting at 1024x768 and the pic fills the screen, but I don't have to scroll.[p]You have posted a lot of photos, is 800x600 the optimum pixel size or would 640x480 be OK too? I've got a 3.2 megapixel but find the 1024x768 resolution is best for my purposes (my photos aren't good enough to print an 8x10 glossy). [p]Does the pixel resolution just affect the image size as viewed on the viewers computer? In other words, if you view a posted photo, will a 1024x768 photo just be nearly twice as large as a 640x480 image, with no increase in resolution?
-
paulH,
640x480 is a good size also. When a photo is displayed on a monitor it is going to be displayed at something around 72-75 pixels (or dots) per inch. So something 750 x 750 will be around 10 inches by 10 inches. Something 375 x 375 will be displayed at around 5 inches by 5 inches.[p]TNW

Just got my BGE. I have cooked a lot of them on Webers but am unsure as to temp setting and how long to cook on my new egg. Could you please post this info. That turkey looks perfect. Thanks, Jim.

James Brodie,
When in doubt, you can always use as a starting point whatever the instructions would be for cooking something in an oven. When I cook turkey (I don't smoke them, per se, I roast them) I do them at 325. Time should be similar to that in an oven. Good luck![p]TNW

paulH,
I would have a hard time deciding if I was going to eat it or put it on display.
