Sunday burgers on home baked bread

Yesterday I decided to throw a few burgers on the BGE, and I baked my first loaf of home baked bread on the egg to go along with them. You can check out the details of the bread here: http://www.eggheadforum.com/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&func=view&id=856500&catid=1

Anyway, the burgers were pretty simple, although I did try something new. I decided to see how burgers would come out using pretty lean ground beef to avoid getting the bread overly soggy. Used some 90/10, and mixed in a little worcestershire sauce, sea salt, black pepper, & Texas Gunpowder, as I usually like to keep my burgers pretty basic.

While the burgers weren't dripping wet like they often are, they were pretty moist in the middle and I'd actually prefer them like this since they aren't so sloppy to eat. Also, that home baked bread brushed with just a little EVOO toasted up very nicely on the egg!

BTW, those were 1/2 pound pattys and cooked to perfection in the center without overcooking on the outside. The thermapen sure is a handy tool.
