BBQ Maven has been hard at work designing and making an "Egg carton" to safely transport 3 large eggs to Slidell, LA for our comp this weekend.

Today he brought the trailer over and using his Pot Lifter, we loaded both his and my eggs in the carrier. We had to do a little trimming to make them both fit - interesting as my large seems to be 3/4 to an inch wider than his, about 3 inches below the felt. We both got ours around Father's Day in 2006. Hmmmm.

We didn't get to try the third egg as that guy was not available today, but we have adjusted for his. I am MUCH more comfortable with how well they are going to make the trip.

Ole McGyver has done a great job on this!

Will have pics Thursday when we get everything loaded for the trip.
