What is everyone cooking for Father's Day? My dad sold most of his businesses and moved a few hours from me.
I got 3 slabs of babybacks getting ready to Dizzy Pigitize and cook Sat. and deliver Sunday.
Just wondering and looking to see what everyone else is doing.[p]CWM

    Car Wash Mike,
The kids and I are planning breakfast in bed for my husband and then probably steak and roast on the BGE for the lunch and dinner in some kind of order.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads on the BGE forum.

    Car Wash Mike,
I plan on a repeat of a few years ago (pre digital camera, too, so no pics). SAUSAGES! With the melting pot that America is today, what a better way to celebrate than to grill the sausages from our various cultures? We have our normal Italian, Polish, Smoked Sausage, Bratwurst, Cuban, Cajun Andouille and now 'designer' sausages such
as, Chicken w/apple, Habanero w/green chilis, Roasted Pepper w/corn, Sundried Tomato and lots, lots more. I did this a few years ago and it went over real well. I bought/made a few of the sausages myself and then asked the guests to bring a different sausage, plus a side dish. I also grilled some veggies, think peppers and onions here. Throw in some salads, a few styles of mustard, a few cases of beer and I think we have a party!! [p][p]

    Car Wash Mike,
I have a brisket in the frig seasoned in G'rilla shake, with Char-Woody's grilled potato's and Cat's Yankee Coleslaw to round it off. The girls will make breakfast in bed for him. Happy Father's Day to all guys who have kids!

  • Car Wash Mike,
Mine already started this afternoon, with a duck (just remove off the egg), a briskett and a piece of Salmon (hopefully the fish wont kill the taste of the brisket)
Life is too short to wait. have wonderful weekend you all.

    Julie R,
I'm obviously doing something wrong. Breakfast anywhere would be good.
Sounds like a well planned out day.
I am gratefull that I can still see my dad and give him a hug. So many kids can't.

    Rumrunner,
Your are just ahead of your time. Sounds great. When I was cutting meat and helping my dad in the grocery biz. We started selling apple sausage. Now you have to understand, our store was less than 15K sq ft. mom and pop. We had a heck of a biz going on that particular sausage.

    Peanut,
What am I doing wrong? Breakfast in bed again? I know, I leave for work every morning at 6. Car Wash biz is like milking cows, early often and late.
    Good luck,[p]CWM

    Car Wash Mike,
Guess if you live in our neck of the woods, you could join us for breakfast any morning! I am sure all your "ducks" would have friends with our 2 daughters....although one came too close to the youngest when she was feeding them at a park! Let's see...salmon, cream cheese, bagels, fruit, omelete...fresh squeezed orange juice...ah...even I would wake up for that one! Whose cooking and tending to the Egg! Heehee.
