Silicone Basting Brush - Too Cool!
GrillMeister
Posts: 1,608
Albertson's is selling a silicone basting brush for $3.99, so like any bbq gadget guy, I tossed one in the basket. Well, I've used it on ribs twice now and can say it is slicker than greased lightning. The first time was at last weekends cookoff and it rinsed clean with just a little water from a jug. It withstands heat over 500 degrees and it mops sauce like you've never seen before.[p]I'm going to toss all my other basting brushes. This is just too cool! I went back and picked up a few more at that price.

GrillMeister, i bought mine @ QVC - came in set of 4
QVC Price $12.87
Shipping and Handling $4.22
Set of 4 Silicone Better Basting Brushes[p]The silicone bristles in these brushes are strong, durable, and able to withstand heat up to 574F, making them ideal for the barbecue grill. And they're variously sized for an array of applications--from buttering small pans or delicate pastries to basting and spreading marinades or oil. Rinse under warm water or wash in the top rack of the dishwasher.[p]Made in China.
one 7"L pastry brush
two 8-1/4"L all-purpose brushes

<p />Car Wash Mike,[p]It's a 12" brush. They're $4.30 each with tax and I can fit a couple in a Priority Mail flat rate envelope ($3.85) or it probably be cheaper regular mail. The QVC deal is not bad, just short handles.[p]Email me if you want some. I'd be glad to pick them up and send them to you.[p]Cheers,[p]Ed[p]

Steve-B,
Thanks, I'll give it a try.[p]CWM

Chef Arnoldi,[p]That's a great deal too. They're not gouging on shipping either.[p]I just fired up the small with mesquite lump for a C.A.B. Top Sirloin I picked up on sale for $3.99 lb. I have it rubbed in olive oil and Dizzy Pig Cowlick to accompany a salad. [p]One more week of bachelorhood to go.[p]Cheers,[p]Ed
