Narrowed my list down to try one of the Lockhart joints, Ruby's in Downtown Austin, or possibly one in Taylor.
Does anyone know if Mikesha's in Taylor is still open for business?
    Thanks B)

    Rudy Mikeska's? I hadn't heard otherwise...

If you're heading out to Taylor, be sure stop in Round Rock at the Lone Star Bakery for the famous Round Rock yellow/orange donuts... best eaten warm....

I sure do miss central TX!

I started Mikeska Brands a few years ago and I am now in 9
States. The closest Mikeska Family BBQ would be in Temple ... Exit
    57th street off I-35

No - we're actually closer to Argyle and Northlake than Denton proper. One of these days we need to try the Ponder Steak House...

Michelle, Clarks Outpost...in Tioga, Gene Autrys' birth place...smokes their briskets for 3 and a half days! No rub used. It's a hole in the wall, but movie stars and a President, or two, have been known to helicopter in for the great BBQ they serve. Now THAT'S real Texas 'Q.

    The front entrance.
