I love my GrillGrate, and recently had a literal melt down on my XL BGE. I contactd the folks at GrillGrate.com, and they are sending me a brand new one. They're supposed to hold up to temps well above 1000 degrees, but mine must have had a week spot. Still, it's a great product and outstanding customer service. Check them out at www.grillgrate.com.

Sounds like a great device - an excellent method to sear meat without fear of flareups. Does it work as good as it appears? What kinds of things to you cook on it? Is it a hassle to clean? Do you have any comparison to the cast iron grid?

  • they sent us a sample to evaluate about a year ago before we carried them in the store ...I used them for months and really found them to work well ... for direct grilling mostly. We have sold a bunch and have had no problems with any of them ...that "tool" is a really cool idea also.

    Hey GS...

Good to hear about a company that provides good service. Thanks for sharing.
  • They're incredible. They provide the great searing capabilities of a cast iron grate, but also the protection from flair ups similar to the new infra-red technology found on some gas grills. They're super easy to clean too. I have the custom cut one for a XL BGE, and it also fits perfectly in my Weber Gas Grill. Definatley better for direct high grilling. Steaks, Burgers, and Tuna come out great.
  • I agree ...I used our demo set this week to grill some sausage patty's and burgers and they worked great. We just brush them off good when done cooking and they are ready to go next time ... really cool things.

  • I agree. I DO have a video ...actually a 2 part series on youtube or accessible on my store's website showing you exactly how it's done and the results are great with hardly no work at all.
