i do not think it is a juice press as the top sits on top of the box and does not press thru to the bottom ,, what ever it presses i think the design is to make a brick or block of whatever is being pressed .. tobaccco ?

Can’t be 100% for sure, but because the “press” is round (maybe to fit a bucket)...I’m going with a fruit press!
