I did a couple of different Kabob cooks this weekend...beef on Saturday, and Chicken on Sunday. Used tjv's large adjustable rig to hold the skewers. Works great!, And, you can put them at any one of the three levels. Makes turning and rotating a snap. This is the Chicken yesterday in a Chicken Marinade with Balsamic Vinegar added. The Beef were great, but the Chicken were killer!

Those Kebabs look delicious Mike....The adjustable rig looks like the perfect device to handle them..
-
Yep. That tjv is one smart guy.

If I only had a brain, I would have thought of that. Great idea !

might even work better with my double skewers, mine are stainles tig weld wire bent over on itself with a small gap. i like the ideafukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
-
...BTW are you going to Lake Travis?
-
Nice setup! My AR is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and I'll definitely keep that in mind for one of its' uses.

Are those the same batch as the Dr Pepper kabobs from the other day? I really liked your idea to pre cook the onions & peppers. Now I like the whole set-up even more. Thanks
-
Mike: Two thumbs up, great idea. What I like about your idea is if your fire gets to hot or cools down some the now you can adjust for it. Thanks for the grea idea Mike.

very nice, that be a new idea for me too.
Denton on your plans for OK fest trip. twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc. -
Absolutely! Me and the girls.

I had some tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms and onion that hadn't been prepped, so I cut them up and put in a Chicken marinade with some Balsamic. Did them the same way...pre cooked, then finished as you see them here.

Not this go around. Sharon and I are driving all the way up on Friday, and back on Sunday.
-
That looks like a great idea. How did you overcome the kabob staying in the direction of the heaviest side always down? I can not wait to try this.
I am looking forward to meeting you in OKC. Is it to late to get a handle order in for OKC delivery? This is the greatest signature EVAR! -
They do sometimes do that, so I just spin the meat or veggie on the skewer. Seems to work well enough that all is edible.

LR, nice contraption for the kabobs!
Really liked the last pic of the close up of the kabobs with a perfect hint of char. I just love kabobs. -

You my friend are a true genius.Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday. -
Had the left-overs for lunch. Was thinking that, depending on ingredients, Kabobs are sort of like a one-stop meal on a stick. I don't do them often enough.

Thanks, RR. Good hearing from you! Hope all is well.

Genius!
I've got the Woo2 with bars for a drip pan. I think this setup would work on that too. Great idea.Food & Fire - The carnivorous ramblings of a gluten-free grill geek.
