I saw where one of the two cyclones you mentioned has hit the mainland. It wasn't Brisbane but was apparently in that area. Hope you were not in the thick of it.
One really nice thing about the Egg when a storm disrupts power for a few days is that you can start to cook all the refrigerated items. Then invite your neighbors over with their food and just make a party of it.
