At the Sunshine Fest this past weekend, somebody told me that I have to try Zippylip's Maple Cream Salmon recipe on the Dizzy Pig website, so I tried it last night. Awesome flavor and easy to make. I had 3 servings
Have a nice day, everyone.

Looks great. Going to have to try this weekend.
Not a big fan of the shell shaped pasta so I will have to take your idea for the pasta as well.
Thanks for posting.

Brian,
Looks great and might be exactly what I need to serve tonight to friends coming over for dinner!
I have one question, though:
The recipe doesn't specify if you use the butter/maple mixture to glaze the fillets on the grill (like in the maple salmon recipe), or if it's added to the pasta with the parsley and cream. Which did you do?
It look to me like it would work better in this recipe to add it to the pasta.
Thanks, -
im going to hang the recipe and your pic at camp for inspiration, salmon season starts april 1 this year and the ice is out which is unusual, going to be able to get the boat in early :woohoo:fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
-
I talked to friend in Wayne, ME last night and the ice is out there too... weird, weird year that is for sure...
-
Julie, At least I could pronounce the ingredients!

Hi Clark! I had to text Zippy last night to ask him that same question. You're right, do not glaze the fish on the grill. Just coat it with the Raging River and grill it direct. We did the butter and syrup on the stove, then added the cream to the sauce after it cooled a little. We then tossed the pasta in the sauce, then added the flaked salmon. The the finishing touch was to sprinkle some Raging River over top of the finished dish. Its a sweet (as in flavor) recipe, but I had to force myself to stop at 3 servings. I told my wife I'll eat the left overs tonight. :woohoo:

Brian, that looks so good......Zippy's recipe is a great way of preparing salmon!

Fishlessman, I was never too thrilled with eating salmon until I got into the Raging River rub recipes. Great stuff. Good luck fishing!

Looks really good. If I get approval from the "Princess" I think we might try it tonight. Our local fish monger shows up on Thursdays with fresh fish, scallops, crawfish, shrimp, etc. - good timing!
-
Looks great. Like Darian, I'm not a fan of shells either, but love me some bowties.

Eenie Meenie-It was nice to meet you at the fest. Glad you survived it.

Boss, it was great meeting you! I survived, but I'm still recovering from the sleep deprivation, lol. Hope to see you at a future fest.

Hey Boss Hog,
I couldn't resist, this looked so good!
I cooked it last night when we had two other couple overs. No left overs!
