Doing my first overnight. The butt is 8.5lbs and I put rub on last night. I’m a little nervous, so I went the route of cleaning out the BGE and I sorted the lump about 1/3 the height of the fire ring. I started the fire around 1:45, added wood chips, platesetter/legs up and the drip pan at 2:30, put the meat on at 3 - around 250*. My goal is 250* for the cook. I do a have a BGE branded Maverick with the meat alarm set at 190*. I'm at 121* at 2.5 hours. I think this is on track. I want to wrap in foil and cooler it for several hours in morning, plan to serve at lunch tomorrow. Family going to my mom’s for lunch - hope it comes out tasty.

I plan to post pictures of the results tomorrow. I forgot to take any pre-cook pictures.

Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
