Thanks, Ray!! And thanks for all the congrats, gang!! For their first contest in Hickory, they sure did it up right. It was a first class event with a ton of first class cookers there. We're darn proud of finishing where we did amongst that crowd. Congrats to Johnny & Trish (Smokin' Triggers) on the Reserve Championship and Whoop De Que on their Grand Championship and congrats to all the other winners as well. We had a great time with Doug & Maxine (Piggin' & Grinnin') and Joyce & Jerry Gardner (Roadrunner BBQ) as our next door neighbors. They took home some hardware as well! Tryon, NC is next on the list in two weeks. Y'all come out and visit if you can!!![p]Frosty Ones!

JSlot,[p]First of all, congratulations again. You guys are really making a name for yourselves, and having fun while doing it.[p]You mentioned Ragin' River chicken - I need to cook a chicken tomorrow but have run out of my standard chicken rub, Dizzy Dust. How does Ragin' River do on chicken? Evidently well, I presume . . . Do you like it better than Dizzy Dust on chicken?? I've got plenty of Ragin' River left so I may be pulling it out for tomorrow's cooking.[p]P.S. - How do you think Ragin' River would do on pork tenderloins?[p]Thanks,[p]TRex

You'll love the RR on chicken, Rex. That's all I use on it anymore. It's great on pork, too. I cooked some butts for a church event last weekend and I coated 'em with RR. Best butts I've done to date![p]Jim

TRex,[p]I did three racks of pork spares and about 15 chicken thighs yesterday all with raging river. Everything was excellent. Problem is, I picked up a 5 pack at NB's place at the beginning of the month thinking it would last me a while. I've already killed the Dizzy Dust, am now more than half out of the Raging River, and have put a serious dent in the Jamaican Firewalk. Looks like I'll be reordering sooner than I'd thought![p]Later,
